3. Editing/ Evaluating

* Analysis

     #AUDIENCE DESIGN & NEEDS ANALYSIS
Who will read the text next?
       What do the readers need?
What is our goal in translating the text?

@REMEMBER , Translation should focus on CLIENT ORIENTED!

    #TEXT ANALYSIS deals with:
     -What do you analyse?
     -Intention of the text
     -The Readership
     -Setting
     -Text Styles
     -Attitude

    #MEANING ANAYSIS
    - General (external meaning)
    - Close (internal meaning)

   # GENERAL MEANING is about
      SURFACE STRUCTURE
It means we analyse the source text.

What type of text is it?
     What is the text about?
     What is the language style?
     What is the structure?

   # CLOSE MEANING ANALYSIS (DEEP STRUCTURE)
Denotation = sign and indication of a word objectively.

Connotation = an idea or feeling which a word invokes in addition to its primary meaning

Collocation = concerned with how words go together.  e.g.: cat’s wings or bird’s wings

Figurative senses =  based on associative relations with the primary senses. e.g. metaphor,
                                       personification, hyperbole, idioms, irony etc.
